Wish City-Data had a "dislike" button. What a shame your political hatred is so profuse that you wish ill will on a whole community. With relatives and friends in the Palm Beach area, I find your wish distasteful.

But the forecasts are better than they were. Remeber there was a time when these storms would hit with no warning. I can't even imagine that.....
We went through Dora in Jax in '64. Talk about no forecasting.

Question. This is the third hurricane since I've moved here. I have two ceiling fans outside in the lanai that we installed. The lanai is fairly well sheltered from the wind, and for the last two it went pretty much unfelt in that area, but we may have been lucky. I took the blades off the fans in the past and I felt it was a waste of time since it's a bit meticulous with ten blades, all the hardware etc. Does anyone else do this? Or is anyone familiar with tiki bar businesses that are exposed, and what they do in this regard? Thanks.

Outdoor fans would be exposed to both wind and rain (ever hear of 'sideways' rain?) in the event of a strong hurricane, so I believe it would be prudent to bring your fans indoors for the event.

I think it would be faster, and easier just to remove the entire fan (motor and blades) than each individual blade. Just let the fan assembly hang from the hook on the electric box(turn the breaker off first), and undo the connections.

We lived in Miami for 15 years before moving to central Florida and have been through many bad hurricanes. We never removed the outdoor ceiling fans in hurricanes. They were in the covered, protected part of the lanai. What we did do is move in all the furniture, the grill, and all pool equipment.

It was a joke. Calm down. Besides they probably hate him as much as I do
