Florida is not reporting covid numbers daily anymore. Florida's numbers were among the highest of all 50 states this week, 5/31 +1310 23 deaths, 6/1 +1253 26D, 6/2 +1234 55D, 6/3 +1878 49D. The linked article below claims our numbers are low enough to no longer need daily reporting.

Good news. The fear mongering and mass panic was/is way out of control, purely because of politics, and it needs to end.

FL still has the highest cases per day as of today.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

On the other hand it was #26 on deaths per million.

There were no cases reported on the days between 6/4/21 and 6/9/21. There have been 14,049 new cases reported on 6/10/21, these seem to be the missing new case numbers from 6/4 through 6/9. There were 2237 new cases reported today, 6/11/21.

Date.....Number of cases reported....Difference from prior report
6/3........2,329,867
6/4.......Not reported
6/5.......Not reported
6/6.......Not reported
6/7.......Not reported
6/8.......Not reported
6/9.......Not reported
6/10......2,343,916........................14,049
6/11......2,346,153...........................2237

It appears that Florida is averaging 2,000 new cases a day, but it's hard to tell since the numbers are not being standardly reported anymore.

Cases are meaningless. I am glad the panicked can only obsess about COVID-19 numbers once per week instead of once per day.

I would be happy if we simply stopped reporting COVID-19 data, like the Obama administration did during the H1N1 epidemic.

Is that why there were only 12.5K H1N1 deaths in 2009 vs. 345K Covid-19 deaths in 2020.

If that's the case, it's good that our governor has stopped the reporting of covid cases to once a week, that means case numbers should go down! And when he decides to stop reporting any numbers, the pandemic is over, I can't wait!!!

You all know I'm keeping score. lol

There were 3253 new cases reported since Wednesday, 2 days ago. I know DeSantis said Florida numbers will only be reported on Fridays, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If Florida is only really reporting on Fridays, here are the Friday numbers:

6/11/21 - 2,346,153 cases
6/18/21 - 2,356,248 cases - difference of 10,095 cases in the last 7 days. These numbers are coming from Worldometers.

Seems as if the reports are wrong or Florida has many more cases than other states our size, they are reporting in the hundreds of cases, not in the thousands.

Florida is also reporting 50-60 deaths a day, more than other states our population size who are reporting 20-30 deaths a day.

I'll report back again next Friday!

And I'm not panicked. I've been out and about through the whole pandemic. I like numbers and want transparency in reporting which has stopped in Florida.

How do we know how many cases of asymptomatic or mild covid are being caught by the vaccinated when they probably won't feel sick enough to go to the doctor to be counted?

I'm sure this is the case worldwide, not just Florida.
