Still waiting on that return to "our more typical summertime pattern of afternoon and early evening thunderstorms" that the meteorologists keep saying is gonna happen.

I've been living in southern Florida long enough to observe that it can rain any time of day during rainy season more often than it can rain any time of day during less rainy (dry) season.

Some days it rains for a few minutes, other days for more than a few minutes, yet other days for an entire day, and the pace of rainfall can vary in intensity on any day or hour or minute that it may rain.

Other than that, I have not noticed any typical "summertime" pattern, in spite of what meteorologists keep saying.

They always say that. But every summer we are in a west flow bro 85% of the summer so the west coast never gets much rain while everyone 3 to 20 miles inland gets 10 times the rain jane as it moves away toward the east coast the most. This is due to a displaced summer time ridge axis that is south of the Tampa area due to massive ice melt. I told everyone last winter my area would get less than 10" of rain for all of the summer.

You can also expect a blazing hot fall and winter.

South FL does not get a west flow that much as the ridge axis is north of your area. But 250 miles up the west coast were i am we never get much rain in the summer as the ridge axis is always south of my area. We need a stuck TS or cane to bring me 20"+ of rain to make up for a super dry year dear.
