Ron DeSantis Signs Measure Outlawing Protests Outside of Floridians’ Homes: Sending ‘Unruly Mobs’ Is ‘Inappropriate’

DeSantis signed HB 1571, which explicitly prohibits picketing and protesting outside of an individual’s place of residence.

“It is unlawful for a person to picket or protest before or about the dwelling of any person with the intent to harass or disturb that person in his or her dwelling,” the bill’s text reads.

Who had "eliminate freedom of assembly" on their bingo card?

As long as they don't do their picketing on private property or violating other laws (such as blocking traffic, jaywalking, rioting, etc), the government is not permitted to prohibit them from assembling.

Patently unconstitutional.

....nope

Feds have already made it against the law to protest outside a judge/jurors etc house....the Feds just refuse to enforce it

When have you ever seen such a protest NOT obstruct traffic? If you're in a neighborhood, you are either on private property or the street.

Problem is that when Libs are in charge, they will not enforce anything, so laws must be written to take that into account. Just look at what is happening to the SCOTUS's while the Lib compromised DOJ does nothing.

This is a product of the Lib DOJ's inaction to enforce the law.
