But wait...there's more!
One morning last month, I watched this little guy leave his nest and crawl to the Atlantic.

Last Saturday, I watched four more baby loggerheads hatch and make their way to the sea.

It just doesn't get much better than that.
Children and adults can learn a lot at the beach.
The pictures of the turtles are just fabulous. Great photo op.. Thanks for sharing them.

Lots during the summer -- couple of times a week (keep a bag in the trunk of car) before I go home from work for an hour or so and probably every other weekend spend a Saturday morning and afternoon (lots of suncreen and umbrella required!) not so much during season, unless I have visitors, too much trouble for me. I don't have toddlers though, so my visits would be much more relaxing than yours, for sure.

I've decided I'd rather live closer to the beach. (I can always leave my kids with my husband!) No point in moving to Florida if it takes me an hour to get to the beaches.

Yes!
And your kids won't be little forever. They will grow and become more independent.
Our sons are adults, but they sure appreciate having the beach here when they visit.

Watching the dive-bombing pelicans is a never ending source of fascination. The sand pipers scurrying along the surf are beautiful to watch. The sea turtle nests are great to see. Can I find an intact sand dollar? The largest shell I've ever found? I am still awed by the power of the waves. It is amazing to see how the beach changes with the seasons. It never is the the same. Walking along the beach is truly peaceful. There is nothing in life that makes me feel at one with nature as much as being at the beach.
Just had to let you know that your post was just amazing, it touched my heart, I kinda laughed because these are the things I am always telling my dh, this is where my heart is. Thanks
