But on the bright side its great if you own a carwash !

What is a lovebug ? "Love Bugs are small flies that are in the process of mating when they swarm over the roads. So usually there are two individuals: the large one is the female and the small one is the male. The female usually gets her way and she drags the male around with her."
Ever see those big headed flies near the beaches in the Carolinas that suck your blood? I remember being in Kitty Hawk and having to run for the car when they came out.

Wish I took a pic of our black car after a 40 mile trip Saturday. Took all night to get them all off. They were thicker than the smoke.

Some people spray Pam on the car and also use those screens that keep them out of the grill.

My dad was upset the other day. Said they were all over his Mercedes. He used a toilet brush to get them off of his radiator!

Cooking oil can damage the radiator, according to UF website. They recommend to use baby oil and water. We drove to see Okeechobee Lake today and was overwhelmed by them.

I used to have a 2000 Corvette and those made it overheat. The radiator had to come out to be pressure washed, the fins are so close together the bugs get very stuck in there, especially when you average 90mph. It was plugged solid and almost unsavable. Rain-X helps the glass a lot, they clean off in about half the time. The little plexiglass shield thing helps minimize their chances of hitting your hood.

Body shops love them, that's why they call them "Love Bugs"
