The Agenda - On The Road
This week's dinner selections will be taking place on the road, as I'm leaving for a week and heading off to Houston and San Antonio, Texas for a trip. Among the choices this time are barbecue (brisket, ribs, jambalaya, potato salad) at Goode Company and Tex-Mex (likely to be either taquitos or enchiladas but may do tacos) at Ruby Tequila's in Houston. Then in San Antonio, it's a hamburger at Gourmet Burger and more Tex-Mex at Alamo Cafe.
Have a great week at your dinner table, be it at home or on the road, and bon appetit!
Hamburger steaks, beets, lettuce salad with cukes, bell peppers, onion, radishes, carrots and tapioca pudding for dessert. If you don't like that choice in dessert you may also choose oreo cheesecake that I just tried for the first time. Oh cheese biscuits like you get at Red Lobsters also.
We went out for Thai food at a restaurant here in San Diego. We started off with a small Tom Yum - I just love this soup! And Spinach Wraps. They're sorta like lettuce wraps but with spinach leaves, that came on a plate with little bitty things to wrap up: ginger, small pieces of shrimp, roasted peanuts, slivers of lime, toasted coconut, sauce, etc. Then we had Honey Duck and Fruity Curry (with shrimp and chicken). It was so delicious! I haven't had Thai in so long because I got bored with it but this restaurant had some new, interesting dishes. So much food! We've got leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
my husband is out and I spend the whole day packing the house up so am going to call for pizza and open a bottle of red wine....I deserve a treat !!
