I came in late this evening to a very weird sound. I opened the closet housing my water heater and it is erupting like a volcano, lol.
I have no water until tomorrow a.m. so I cannot cook. I was given keys to a "showcase apartment" in my building for showering and such tonight. Sometimes you just have to nod and laugh to stay sane.
Extra day off this week, extra day to experiment! Fish dishes tonite!
Middle Eastern Fish w/Tahini/Soy/Ginger sauce! Awesome! And slightly disappointing: Fish a la Vera Cruz w/capers, green olives, tomatoes, scallions, thyme, marjoram, oregano.
And 2 yummy desserts: French Baked Cherry Dessert and Caribbean Bananas Baked w/Cream Cheese/br. sugar, unwhipped whipping cream, rum, cinnamon. Lordy Beeee!!!! That was too awesomely delicious for words!!! If my roommate hadn't caught me frying those bananas, I would have told him it was a disaster, threw it in the trash and selfishly gobbled it down myself! But he knows me too well, I'd never throw anything out, no matter how horrible it tasted!

I think tonight I'll probably have either a PBJ with banana sandwich or something that is easily tossed into the microwave and magically turns into edible food.
Made enough burgers for two days yesterday so I'll just pop in the oven. I didn't put the cheese on these so they'll be fresh. They were absolutely yummy last night -- just a burger from fresh ground chuck seasoned with salt and pepper and the toppings I don't like to mess up good meat! Some more delicious fresh fruit and chocolate cake. Easy to end the week, which is good because I have applications to drop off and a job fair late this afternoon.
