Last night was Carne Asada with onions and mushrooms. Black beans and Mexican rice. Everything turned out good...last week a couple of things I cooked came out terrible! One was fish and chips...fish was frozen cod. It was horrible! another was chicken fried steak, I used cube steak but it was so tough. Tonight will be smoked sausage, kraut and boiled potatoes. My lazy go to menu

Because everything thawed in our broken garage freezer yesterday (new one is being delivered next Wednesday, thankfully), tonight will be an all-protein dinner:
Pot Roast cooked all day with Onions and Carrots/Roast Gravy
Baked Potato (For husband...I don't eat them.)
Fried Okra (Fresh from the neighbor's garden)
Mac and Cheese
Iced Tea with Lemon
No dessert (although there are a few Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal cookies left from the other day)
Tonight's Dinner:
Crab Leg Buffet at the Restaurant (Husband can hardly wait. He LOVES it!)
Baked macaroni with vegetables. It's like baked ziti but without the red sauce. It has spinach, mushrooms, onions, garlic, peas, shell pasta and cheese, then baked. We are also haveing homemade coleslaw.

Last year I left the freezer door open and it was summer: I know what you are going through. At least you have an excuse. We had to throw out so much food, it made me want to cry and I had no one but myself to blame.
I just visited our freezer: tonight we are having a little turkey, a few ribs and a piece of pork roast, in a gravy with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
