I don't do it in public, but in my own 4 walls, in my own company? Heck - YES!! I like my cooking
( I don't eat bread with my meals )

My dog licks his bowl. My cat licks her dish.

As an alternative to licking your plate, maybe you could use a rubber scraper on the plate and then lick the rubber scraper? Slightly more socially acceptable.

Yesssss. Thank you. I agree. I do eat bread with my food, but there is only so much bread you can eat.

My cats are plate lickers big time but im not. I didnt even lick the plate clean as a kid. Ill stick with spoons & forks.

I hear ya on this one! Nope not I, never even as a kid. In fact it kinda grosses me out, I don't know why it just does.

My dog loves to lick the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, it really freaks out one of my adult kids, fearing it's unhygenic. But me licking a plate? No, it would just be rather awkward licking a plate. If I love something that much I save a little extra serving or more for myself to eat later.

Maybe...but he also licked his fingers after eating "finger foods". I'm sorry, I don't go for it even at home. Why save your good manners for other people?
