And greek yogurt in your guacamole. Just throw in a couple of spoons. Makes it creamy, adds protein, and if you use 2% or lower even reduces the calories. And is tasty.

Another greek yogurt trick? I mix it with creme fraiche and put it on top of fruit. Depending on my mood, I might mix in a little honey. It adds a nice balance to your fruit, makes it feel decadent. And you get some extra calcium.

wow, yogurt really?? hmmm

Water while baking meats. Sounds very simple, but I honestly never figured it out until last year.

No, you just put some water in the pan before baking. This way the meat tends not to dry up or burn.

My wife has done this for years and has resulted in some great cakes. You can use ice cream in place of soda if you wish. Very good cake flavors!

If you want to cook one egg real quick, say for your egg sandwich as you run out the door, crack the egg into a coffee mug (spray with oil or use butter to guarantee it won't stick) and cook it in the microwave for 45-50 seconds. When it is done, it will be cooked and slide right out onto your sandwich. It is the perfect form to go on an English muffin.

For a quick single serving cake, do this:

Take two cake mixes, and one MUST BE ANGEL FOOD, and mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl....I shake mine. Then store in an airtight container.

When you feel like a little cake dessert, mix three tablespoons of the two cake mixture mix in a huge coffee mug and put in 2 tablespoons of water. Microwave one minute on high and presto you have a single serve cake. (If you have a low wattage microwave, you might have to leave it in for a few seconds more....always test) Top with cool whip or ice cream or fruit.

I have used Angel Food and Devil Food cake mix as well as Angel Food and Lemon Cake Mix and liked them both. Someone told me they didn't like the Red Velvet cake mix. I share this with my daughter's family so we all have some on hand. Remember one of the mixes must be Angel Food (because of the egg whites needed to make a cake in a cup).
