I just went to the store for tonight's dinner and got a bit more out of the deal..

Small but tasty sliced cure 51 ham on sale 3.50
3 lbs red potatoes 2.99..

So for 6.50 I have a dinner and two lunches, or two dinners and a lunch..
With leftover red potatoes..

I stopped at the store on the way home from my doctor's appointment.

family pack of boneless skinless chicken thighs
family pack of boneless skinless chicken breasts
3 lbs. of 90% lean ground beef
1 lb. of ground turkey
boneless country style pork ribs

russet potatoes
fresh sugar snap peas
bananas

garlic bulbs
2% Fage plain Greek yogurt (for Tzatziki)

a bottle of chardonnay
spaghetti
Birds Eye Steamfresh veggies (on sale)
Kleenex Tissue
Reames frozen egg noodles
Ice cream and white grape juice for me to have the day before my medical procedures on Friday. UGH!

Quick visit to Kroger neted:

a pound of deli sliced turkey
a loaf of honey wheat bread
two tomatoes
a bag of oranges
a pound of coffee
a half gallon of 2% milk
a 2 liter of coke
3 jars of Prego spaghetti sauce (on sale)
4 cans of Cream of Chicken soup (on sale)
1 20 lb bag of Purina Dog Chow

I went in to get the Dog Chow, milk, and coffee. Everything else was impulse buy.

~ 1 whole semi-boneless Cumberland ham, 13.40 lbs.
~ 1 baguette
~ 1 big French bread
~ 1 Hellman's mayo
~ 5 pounds of gold potatoes
~ 4 tubs of I can't believe it's not butter, cause it was buy 1 get 1 free.
~ 1 dozen jumbo eggs

Ham's in the oven now and then we tie on the ol' feedbag!

2 Fresh tomatoes
1 pound of Deli sliced Roasted Turkey
1 pound slice of ham for ham & beans
1 pound of Great Northern beans for ham & beans
1 box of Greek Frozen Yogurt (12 single serving containers)
3 boxes of Barilla Pasta (medium shells, elbows, spaghetti)
2 jars of Prego sauce flavored with meat

I think that is the entire list of my purchase.

Was at the supermarket this morning and got

1 doz large eggs
bottle of Cabernet
chocolate sauce
fresh fruit salad
green salad from salad bar
small bag of rice cakes
block of sharp cheddar cheese
box of Jiffy muffin mix
rosemary and olive oil flavored triscuit crackers
cat of Progresso chicken corn chowder
Box of chocolate graham crackers - to include in my donation to local homeless shelter
got home and realized I had forgotten the milk - store was too busy to concentrate lol

We went to Safeway today, and we picked up ...

Pickles (2 jars) & relish
Cheddar cheese block
Shredded Mexican blend cheese
Shredded sharp cheddar
Cottage cheese
English muffins
Ground beef
Cube steak
Breakfast sausage
Diet cola
Crystal Light
Smoked turkey lunchmeat
Frozen fish sticks (DH had a hankering)

All that, and we spent $41.
