I did some recreational shopping yesterday, with my new lover at this inner city market that has two aisles of imports from Mexico, Turkey, and Russia/Ukraine/Lativia, etc. They carry processed and bulk foods. Most of this was breakfast/coffee snack stuff for work, plus some stuff for dessert for our dinner.

Oatmeal cookies from Latvia (pretty good!)
Wafer cookis from Russia (also good)
A jar of Polish dill pickles (too sweet)
Poppyseed cake roll (made in NYC)
....and a frozen pastry called "Napoleon", (also made in NYC)(this was our dessert thatnight).

..I should say this is not my normal shopping!

wow, yesterday was the run around town day and we did a little of everything, lunch out, dumb doctors and yes, shop, shop, shop.
First Sam's
avocados
romaine
chicken
cheese
creamer
peanut butter
bagels
mushrooms
etc.

Aldis:

baby cukes
tomatoes
juice
snacks
cantaloupe
cheese
asparagus
1/2 and 1/2
butter

Mexican store
jalapenos
tortillas
onions
Mexican squash

Asian Market

soy sause
bok choy
fresh dill
ginger

I think that is enough for one day. Today is the meat sale and I will love every minute I spend, getting my meat cut to order.. Then tomorrow we get our bi-weekly free range egg order.

That is more than enough for the week, except for the wine of course. That comes today as well.
