Going to the store depends on what I'm in the mood for. If I want the basic type foods I go to the local "Mom and Pop" store or have a food order delivered from the supermarket. If I want hard to find or gourmet food I have to go to NYC or Philadelphia.
Today I bought:
quart of milk
a stewing hen
2 boxes of fresh strawberries
a bundle of bananas
a bag of oranges
a box of cheerios
a pound of ground round
a box of velveeta
and
a jar of pimentoes.
I did a quick run to the store:
grated romano cheese
1 brick muenster
1 brick colby jack
2 boxes garlic butter ritz
1/2 gallon stonyfield reduced fat organic milk
1 bag cheetos
1 lb sliced yellow american cheese
1 bottle of dish soap
I went to Aldi's today and bought
2 packages whipped cream cheese
1 box of wheat crackers (similar to wheat thins)
paprika
fit and active ice cream sandwiches
My shopping day for grocery is Saturday mornings for as long as I remember .....once a week only
My list was as follows:
8 l Milk......I make my own yogurt.....
2 dz eggs
1 kg cottage cheese
cheddar cheese old
butter
Soy chocolate milk
orange juice
granny smith apples
oranges
grapefruits (4 for a $, so I got 16 grapefruits)
15 bananas
9 tomatoes
8 red beets
onions in a net
ginger/garlic
potatoes
3 big yams
red and green bell peppers
Flax bread
12 grain bread
8 whole wheat buns
chicken breast
stew meat
Stopped at Randall's and got
organic strawberries
organic carrots
parsley
2 kiwi
3 bananas
marked down 1/2 price Ben & Jerry's S'mores flavor
organic sliced apples
2 cans Fancy Feast gravy lover's marked down 1/2 price
