skbs how is your DH's weight loss going? We have the brown/green grass here the snow is gone.

Debsi I use to make copy cat fast food but quit might have to start that back up you made my mouth water. I know homemade would be a lot healthier and better tasting.

MTH WTG on day 4 you are doing marvelous! Sorry your little one is sick.

kimba I have hamburger laying out too can't decide between meatloaf and also Debsi's big mac yet.

I am shy too. Actually a small local group started online about 9 years ago by the time we all met in person we were like family. It was so easy talking to each other after sharing daily on the board. Felt like we knew each other for life and we are all very close yet today. The first get together was a hoot as each person walked into the door we all guessed who they were. Fun, fun.

I bet if we all got in one big room together it would be silent until the first person talked and then we would all fit like a glove when we do.

MTH 15 years is great before you know it you will realize that you are actually growing old together. Mine will be 32 years next month...sorry the little one is sick.

Gosh I don't know but we can all certainly relate to Divas. Those of us that have raised daughters.

I would say that Lacey and Elston would pass out the hor'deuveres and get everyone chatting about the food.

Add margaritas and we'll see!

I'd say after a group hug we'd all be talking at once.

Hi, everyone!

Making what DH wants again....Baked Shrimp Scampi over Angel Hair Pasta. I load it with garlic, since we LOVE it! We'll have a small Portuguese roll to go with it. I have some white wine left over, so a glass of that also.

That's what Tequila is for!!

[quote=Debsi;7403215]That's funny, DH is used to my tricks and doesn't mind them. I always chop a carrot or two into the sauce. I dice it pretty fine or blitz it in the mini-chopper - I often add zucchini and celery too, in this fashion. You can't even taste it in the end product, and you're adding lots of nutrition to your meat sauce, I figure. I think he is glad he is eating the vegetables and doesn't mind because he can't taste them. It would be different if I served him a big pile of cooked carrot and zucchini coins!

When I don't have time to make a homemade sauce, I buy the Prego sauce that is Garden Vegetable or something like that - has carrots, zucchini, onions, etc.... and you cannot taste them - and had better nutritional value!

Chicken with Pineapple Salsa

1 can crushed pineapple, drained well
2 small can green chile, or 2 fresh chiles, diced
1/2 fresh red pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh lime juice (about 1/4 lime)
Cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
4 chicken breast halves

Dump everything but the chicken into a casserole dish with a lid, and stir well. Add the chicken, burying it in the pineapple salsa. Cover and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes (varies according to thickness of chicken)

Serve over couscous, rice, or polenta. 4 servings.
