Tonight is Hockey Night on TV so we will serve to our friends a platter of little meatballs,a German potato/apple salad,a chicken salad,a Herring salad,French baguette,Pretzels,Pumpernickel bread,a mixed raw vegetable platter,an avocado dip,an assortment of cheeses and grapes and Schnapps,beer and wine. For a sweet tooth we have lemon cake and coconut cake served with black coffee or Earl Grey tea.

Chicken! I have two b/s chicken breasts defrosted and I am considering either, Chicken Stroganoff, Swiss Chicken, or Chicken in a Mushroom Cream Sauce. I have ingredients for all. Hmmm...

Ooh! Maybe Chicken Cordon Bleu or Chicken Kiev. I have the stuff to make these, too.

I guess it is international chicken night in my house.

The Gruyere was way too moldy and my sous chef (Son) has plans so chicken w/mushroom sauce it is. I was willing to go for Cordon Bleu made with Havarti, but didn't feel like rolling up chicken.
