I do major shopping at aldi's, Winn Dixie and presidente once every two weeks and then monitor the weekly flyers for specials to stock up on. I also will have to pick up fresh produce for salad or garnish at least once or twice a week.
Our farmer'S markets don' t open in Miami until November and I can't wait.
We go every Saturday for they have all the decent deals than and we combine it with the Farmers market. Food is certainly not anymore the way it used to be
I admit up front that I detest grocery shopping, and avoid it whenever possible. Wondering how often others shop for food.
We do our basic shopping about once a week, I might run to $ General or WalMart for something inbetween. We also do Sam's about once a month or 6 weeks and we go to Aldi's when we are in the area, usually once every couple of weeks, as well as hitting the Mexican and Asian market.
I go once a week. I do plan ahead because I usually cook big on the weekends so I'll have leftovers and lunches. Sometimes I'll have to stop in quickly during the week because I've run out of produce or salad fixings, but I can usually make grocery shopping a weekly deal.
family of four who eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies. We usually go to the grocery store once a week and the farmers market once a week but that is considered a fun family outing and not much of a chore.
I have extra fridge and freezer and pantry shelves in the garage so I tend to load up on sale staples regularly.
I like to plan menus for the week before shopping even if we don't eat what is planned for a specific night. This way I always have on hand what I need.
Also I keep my grocery lists
1) in the kitchen and everybody is supposed to write if they use the last something or see something is getting low.
2) by the computer for when I run across a recipe on Facebook or online
3) by the TV where I like to watch food shows I've TIVO'd
Then I incorporate the menus and lists.
However DH does not mind at all stopping by the store if I ask him to between trips.
I shop about twice a week at local shops, in a small village there isnt a lot of choice, so weekends, I usually go to a supermarket at a nearby town. Also have home deliveries from either Tesco or Asda. I find that having home deliveries cuts my bills down as it isnt nearly so much fun to shop when you only have the pictures to look at. Also, I can review my grocery list before I post it, so I can change my mind if the total cost seems too high . I dont plan my meals to the day, but I have a good idea of what I eat most days so base my shopping list around this. Always buy some ready meals, and also plain chicken breasts and white fish so that I can make some things when I have time.
Once a week to Market Basket (locally owned fairly low priced chain) after their sale flyer comes out. Maybe once or twice during the week just to run in and get fresh vegetables or if we run out of milk or bread. Two people.
I eat a lot of vegetables, so I usually like to get those every couple of days.
