How often do you wash your hands while cooking?

Yes, I wash after handling raw meat, after mixing things by hand. But heck, I've been cooking for my family for well over 40 years, and we haven't died or gotten food poisoning yet. My parents and their parents did the same.

Same excuse my mother uses. I tell her the animals she was eating 40 years ago are not the same animals she is eating today. They are being raised in different conditions. Besides before "a first time" there was obviously not "a previous time" I'll take my chances and take some risks with other things. People's health? No thanks.
