I got a fried cod sandwich today and, when I went to take a bite, I noticed it had a slice of cheese on it. To me, that's a terrible combination - fried fish, tartar sauce, and cheese. It must be something people like because I looked at some of the other fast-food places, and they also put cheese on their fish sandwiches.
Do most people like cheese on their fish sandwiches?

I have occasionally been served a fish sandwich with a slice of cheddar. I kind of like it. I like lettuce and tomatoes on mine too! But for the most part they come plain, tartar sauce if you ask nicely. Darn it!! Even though I had a pretty good fish sandwich for lunch this week, I now crave another. Fish sandwich=yumminess!

Put cheese on any type of sandwich......including fish. If you don't like cheese just ask them to leave it off.
This is where we must part ways......tuna melts are oh so good. Put them on a marble rye with Swiss. HEAVEN. Did I mention I love sandwiches?
I eat all types of strange things, including insects. For some reason I just can't stand the melted cheese on fish thing. However, I'll eat seafood dishes that have parmesan in the sauce.
