The grocery store was out of turkey burgers earlier today. Think that is a first! Did find an acceptable substitute.

Dinner was a cheeseburger (grass fed Angus beef) and small bag of Doritos Salsa Verde chips. Today was National Tortilla Chips Day. Also a few small watermelon slices. Drank Newcastle Brown Ale.

We went out to dinner last night with another couple and no kids! We went to Kummerspeck http://kummerspeckfoods.com/ and it was really good!

We started with oysters. They were almost gone before I could take a picture!

I split with my husband this 80 day aged Wagyu New York strip with a carrot leek puree and braised cabbage. Oh my! This was so good!

Boneless skinless chicken thighs and the rest is still open for discussion but a huge bowl of salad. Sprouts had really nice lollo rosso today.

Last night dh made Lancashire hot pot. It was like a stew but the potatoes were sliced thin and laid on top. Then it was baked in the oven. There were two batches so we're having it again tonight. Oh--it was DELICIOUS!
