We had gyros and French fries from a local joint. The gyro was so big I had to have a nap afterwards.

At a restaurant in San Jose earlier this evening: Shared an appetizer, then enjoyed a flatbread pizza with Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and white onions. Had some leftover to bring home. Probably will be my lunch on Saturday. Drank Stella on draft.

Having braised boneless pork ribs with potatoes, carrots and peppers. Also have a bagged kale salad I will fix. I am making enough to take some to a couple in our church who are under the weather. She is trying to deal with a lot of colon cancer treatments and her energy level is pretty low.

Last night we had "date" night. We got a babysitter and went out for tapas. First time visiting this place and it was really great. https://www.bocadotapasbar.com/#
I took some photos but I was too busy enjoying myself to take many or even decent shots!
Fried goat cheese and duck pastrami

5 hour braised beef brisket, bbq braise sauce, Yukon mashed, Espelette crème fraîche

Tonight will be rack of lamb rubbed with ras el hanout and a red wine-honey reduction. Also whipped potatoes and broad beans with tomatoes.

Making heavy appetizers for socializing with out-of-town guests. Egg rolls, Asian meatballs, roasted shrimp, chicken cakes, quinoa salad with yellow squash & zucchini, intercontinental ravioli, sweet potato balls, and fruit. Creme brulee for dessert.
