Tonight noodle casserole served with tomato/onion salad and cucumber salad made with yogurt dill,lemon juice,a bit of sugar. To drink sour lemon water. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.
perfect day for split pea soup which is in the crock pot right now. To go with the soup will be home made sour dough bread. No, I didn't make it, we have a good friend at church that does make it for us. Right now we are getting our first real snow in about 14 months. As long as we don't have to go out it is a wonderful sight.
It's a frigid icy morning and I'm getting ready to make some lentil stew. Don't know yet if we'll have it for lunch or dinner. The original plan was to have dinner out after an afternoon movie, but I'm thinking the weather is going to change that.
It's so cold (to a native Southern Californian ) and I just so happen to have all the ingredients in the house, that I'm making a diner classic: warmed slices of deli roast beef over a scoop of mashed potatoes, over a piece of white bread, all smothered in brown gravy. A salad of romaine & avocado as well.
If anyone has any packages they need delivered to Carbville, drop them off now, cause I'm going there tonight.
