Making last night's dinner that didn't happen. Mushroom ravioli with a sage butter sauce and sauteed mushrooms, steamed broccoli, and a tomato cucumber salad.

Unfortunately, it will be takeout alone in my office, I am so swamped, I am ready to burst into tears (well, not really, the guys here would never let me forget it). I am going to order a roast beef on ciabbata with lots of horseradish sauce and potato salad. Mr. Praline will have to fend for himself.

We’ll be roasting a turkey breast this evening for dinner. Serving with green beans, dinner rolls and mashed potatoes.

Spaetzel with Emanthller cheese and caramelized onions, German cabbage souphttps://www.quick-german-recipes.com/potato-and-cabbage-soup.html - very easy and filling. I don't exactly use this recipe, but mine is very similar.

Homemade crumb topped apple pie, with ice cream if you like.

Liebfraumilch to drink for me. Beer for the "boys".

It took 3-hrs to pack my car in 87-degree heat, with a Paul Bunyan lad I had to pay by the hour to help... dear lord, how many eyeliners, shampoo bottles & suit jackets does 1 girl need?! Apparently, 48-hrs worth of packing & 3-hrs worth of loading. In times like these, I really do wish I were a tomboy with a penchant for owning only 2-pr of overalls... 1 on, 1 drying on the line.

Afterwards, aside from a great white shark amount of water to ingest & a bath hot enough to cook a turkey, I'm not hungry after burning off what I hope is 15-lbs of stored, summer fat... drove to the nearest liquor store for a 4-pk of Goose Island IPA. That's it. 2 of those is dinner. I'm too exhausted to chew & digest.

Since I gave Paul Bunyan my bed, I need to settle in for a nice, comfy night on the carpeting & whatever blankets used for cushioning that I'll have to toss in the trash compactor in the morning. Who cares... with a couple of IPAs & a morning yogurt (thank you, Alm ), I'm sure I'll manage just fine as I get on the road to CO after noon. I wish it were back to SoCal... but, hopefully next time. < Fingers bloody well crossed >

I may not see you all for a few days as I'm driving in the middle of nowhere, but I'll try to continue posting. In the meantime, have a wonderful week & see you all soon. Cheers, then & bon appetit...
