Hubby and I both have the flu and yet it hasn't curbed our appetite. We just don't want to cook anything. Maybe pizza.

Snow day here and chili is braising in the oven for dinner tonight. With Fritos, of course. And some sliced avocado and lime-pickled onion slices

Some fresh angel hair pasta and tomato-basil red sauce topped with grated parmesan.

Big salad of iceberg, green ice lettuce, red onion, celery, carrot, mushroom, croutons, and bacos.

Husband's birthday dinner. He chose Filets and asparagus. I'll add a salad. Filets will be started on the stove with butter and olive oil in a cast iron skillet, then finished in the oven (husband's request). I may saute some mushrooms to top the steaks and finish with a compound butter. I haven't decided on the compound butter type yet.

Dessert will be strawberries with cream. Hubs is on a diet so no cake or pie.

I went out for a late lunch/early dinner with my husband. A new restaurant opened in our neighborhood. https://m.facebook.com/cbgwoo/?ref=m...action_generic
I had a horrible couldn't eat it cheeseburger yesterday. I tried again today with much better results. I had a Narragansett to drink.

The husband had steak frites with fries and watercress. I tried a bite....fantastic!

We really liked this place!

magicshark, those pictures have me practically drooling on and licking my screen. Thanks a lot, now I want a steak! I don't even drink beer and that glass of beer looks good to me!

Pineapple/bacon and Brat sausages, small red potatoes, and sautéed onions. Glass of Dark Horse rose wine. DH had a glass of Flying Dog's cherry chocolate stout. I had some too. Pretty tasty.

Dessert: might do a cup of hot tea and a dark choc filled Oreo cookie. I think it will be just one cookie.
