I soaked a 15 bean mix overnight, so we’ll have bean soup with ham and leftover jalapeño cornbread.

Tonight cluster bean dish https://foodviva.com/curry-recipes/gawar-ki-sabzi/ with chapatis/rotis, green chili raita and tomato slices. To drink lassi. For dessert sliced pan fried bananas caramelized in honey and cinnamon.

A final long boozy lunch by the quayside in Symi waiting for the 5.15pm catamaran back.to Rhodes.
Tholos is a cut above most other tavernas in the island.
We enjoyed octopus in vinegar,tzatsiki and oven roasted lemon and garlic potatoes to start.
Then shared kalamares, linguini in garlic oil, fresh prawns in a lemon and cumin sauce and lamb and beef koftas with a couple of bottles of ice-cold Greek wine.
A free dessert came with Greek yohurt, honey and prunes in sauce.
The meal was delicious.
A great way to say goodbye to a fantastic Greek island.

A lazy dinner, we are both pooped.

Beer battered cod (Costco), broccoli with cheese (birdseye) and a small side salad.

In my defense, I did make a really nice tartar sauce.

A vegetarian dinner tonight - bean threads topped with a stir-fry of Brussels sprouts, sugar snap peas, garlic, ginger, carrot, and celery. Wish I had green onions. I will season with soy sauce and rice vinegar and sprinkle slivered almonds over top.
