Today is bridge day and it is here, so I have to keep dinner a bit on the easy side: We are having steak burgess with noodles, and fresh squash. It will probably be the last of the seson which is fine with Spoiled brat. I will probably slice some fresh fruit up and pour a little flavored brandy on top just to get rid of some of the fruit we have in the fridge before it spoils.
Before it gets any nicer outside I'm going to stuff those peppers with Cajun seasoned rice, ground beef and home-grown tomatoes and onions. I like to finish them in the oven but think we'll just top with with sharp cheddar and heat in the microwave as we need them so I don't have to stay in and babysit them.
Everyone's talking about tacos. Now's the time to have them here before our fresh tomatoes are gone. I really want Indian-style ones. All I have to do is convince myself I want to stand over the stove and make fry bread. Sounds like a First World dilemma but if you lived in MN where next week it could be freezing cold and wet you'd understand.
Debsi, get a cat so M. doesn't have to throw food on the floor. Heh. Our toddler always sneaked her unwanteds to the cat when we weren't looking. Little rascals.
