We had arepas tonight. I remember why I'm not fond of them. The texture. Fillings were mojo marinated pork, black beans, pickled red onion, fried cubes of boniato (latin white sweet potato), queso fresco, lime/cilantro/salsa verde crema.
As winter approaches I move my chair around the back garden late in the afternoon to catch the last rays of a weak Autumn sun with just enough time to smoke a decent-sized cigar and have a couple of G&TS before it gets too chilly.
Steak,garlic mash,sauteed scallions, broccoli and cauliflower seemed the perfect accompaniment.
With Covid still around and all sorts of restrictions in place this is going to be one,long winter.
Tonight will be the meat loaf I had planned for last night cause we got home so late from our errands I didn't feel like hassling with dinner; We just had a couple chicken breast which was on the menu for tonight.
