Rockfish. Not familiar with them but I just did some reading. They can live over two-hundred years and give birth live.

What an interesting fish.

Since it’s so cold out, I made a basic but very tasty, chili.

Lots of good (and some, um, interesting) dinners tonight! In honor of Super Bowl weekend (even though my beloved Patriots and fellow U of M grad Tom Brady aren't in it ), I made chicken wings. Dawn, just for you, I cooked them in my air fryer ...

I added about a tablespoon of Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce at the table, and had the wings with my usual veggies plus avocado (the 2nd one from 9 days ago -- finally edible!). Everything was yummy.

We had tomato soup and grilled cheese on rye with swiss and cheddar. Also a side salad with a fig vinaigrette dressing.

I made a pot of pintos (with bacon, onion, garlic, and a couple of Roma tomatoes) and some corn bread muffins earlier - M loved Mama’s cooking. Quite the compliment

I also made some glazed lil smokies to have with cornbread muffins or saltines.
