Wow! Food is getting very pricey. I was at Winn Dixie, and only bought a few things on BOGO, maybe they raise the price on BOGO items.
I wonder how much food they throw away at Whole Foods, with those tables of food out. I ate there last night, it was really good. And I did not have to cook! But it was a treat that I don't often have.
I have seen an increase in about a 1/3 of the food products I buy regularly over the last year but nothing major.
Example Costco Lasagna 6lbs $12.69 last year was 11.59. This will feed my family of five for two nights with a small salad or veggies on the side. Still VERY inexpensive.
Some items like chicken 99 cents a pound whole and thighs. Pork still about 2 bucks a pound give or take a few cents depending on the cut.
I just bought 30lbs of Choice Beef sirloin tip roasts for 2.89lb to freeze.
People just need to learn to shop on cost per ounce and compare, compare , compare.

Oh how awful! LOL That is so frustrating! I have done things like that - couldn't remember if I put the water or milk in something and do it twice, or forget that I already put eggs in - or think I put eggs in when I didn't. Comes from watching television and being on the telephone while cooking!

Yeah especially when I started happy hour at 2 instead of 4. LMAO
OOOO I just saw Marie Calanders 6lbs of frozen Lasagne at Food 4 Less for $9.99 when shopping a little while ago. Check it out if you have one near you. 3 dollars less than the frozen Costco lasagne of the same size. Hope it tastes as good.
