Tis the season/month for birthdays and I have been busy baking birthday cakes for loved ones and friends.Today I baked a Linzer Torte for the 1. Advent on Sunday. It is cold and windy outside and rain is expected for a while. My fireplace is on and I am listening to country music.

Tonight a bowl of creamy curried carrot soup. Then Brotzeit with home baked bread and Pretzel buns.Served with it an egg salad and variety of cheeses including anchovy butter. To drink Löwenbräu.Later by the fireplace a few rounds of Skat and Rummy while sipping on a glass of Glühwein and taste testing my Gingersnap cookies.

No leftovers here. We had dinner at my parents. I had a really weird craving for Sloppy Joes. I haven't made them in years. So Sloppy Joes, chips and sweet pickle slices.
