What’s for Dinner

Happy Diwali wishes to Almrausch and family!
Our dinner this evening was Spinach and Gnocchi with Sausage. We also had a tossed salad with a garlic-red wine vinaigrette, crusty Italian bread and a glass of zinfandel to drink.

Fresh made polish sausage dogs, bakery hoagie roll, spicy chow-chow and Bush’s Grilling Beans.

And beer.

Beef paprika over egg noodles.

A peppercorn tenderloin roasted alongside acorn squash seasoned with chili powder, cinnamon, cayenne and butter. For dessert I had half of an apple that I let bake atop the acorn squash.
A side of sautéed mushrooms and onions and a small helping of cornbread dressing to round out the menu. Apple cider to drink.
What can I say, I was feeling 'autumn'-y!

Monday madness at our local pizza place - XL pepperoni za!

Husband made his great burrito last night. He was distracted and forgot to add the pulled pork he defrosted but it was delicious as vegetarian dinner.

The BIG thrill was dessert, his open-face apple galette was FANTASTIC! He's an expert at making apple galette but perhaps it was the local apples that made it even tastier. I bought 3 kinds of apples when we were in Blowing Rock NC recently. Arkansas Black is the only name I remember but I'll go look and see which one it was. He said it was the "bag on top" in the garage fridge.
