EM when you go up there we go to a restaurant called Talpey's right there on Rt. 1. They have a roaring fireplace and the food is delicious. We went there on our anniversary a couple of years ago and had a nice romantic dinner next to the fire.
DH kept telling me I looked hot. I took it as sexy hot but I am guessing it was the fire! LOL just kidding.
Oh we don't call them hot flashes we call them Brief Tropical Vacations and at times Power Surges as I could probably power up the entire power station at least for a few minutes............LOL
Lacey we are expecting at the end of the week high 70's and 80's. We must get your weather here. Today is nice here. Yesterday I was tempted to put on the heat.
Cyn......sorry you are going through so much trouble. I hear ya about the meds. It seems that doctors are all too happy to prescribe pills instantly nowadays. Your dilemma is one of the reasons I went with PacifiCare over Kaiser for my health insurance. I pay more but I get to pick my doctors and don't have to use only their facilities. I take it you can't switch insurance though. Hang in there and know we are all thinking about you!
Last night's sandwiches were ridiculously good.......the sundried tomato spread, ham, swiss, and asiago basil bread all melted together nicely. We had them with a cucumber and tomato salad instead of the spinach because we didn't have any greens left.
Tonight's dinner is going to be spaghetti bolognese and the last of that ever-so-addicting bread!!
LOL.......you girls are too much. Tropical vacation or power surge.
Crazy.....you are too too funny LOL.......raging fire and you thought. LOL1 Sounds like something I would do. I knew I liked you crazy.
Weather has been nuts. Yesterday cold and rainy. Today looks pretty good but cool.
Supposed to warm up as the week goes by. Pool opens this weekend.. I'm afraid I will miss it
Cyn, I agree with all the other posts, put those pills away. When I broke my foot 2 yrs. ago, nothing showed up on the x-ray. The Dr. told me to take Tylenol and scheduled an MRI for the next week. That's when they found the hairline fracture. We had to pay up front $250.00, the insurance paid $4,600.00 for the MRI. I would call your insurance company, although you liked the Dr., all that medication to dumb the pain is not good. Remember too, we live in the So., and most meds react when you go out in the sun or on an empty stomach. I would check every medication online to see what the side effects are. I am allergic to aspirin so I am limited as what to take and usually just rely on Tylenol.
The h/m meatball subs were so soft and delicious last night. Besides the softened Italian bread, I added Panko to the mix and they turned out to be the best ever. Simmered in the sauce for 2 hrs., I thought I died and went to heaven. Salad on the side with Garbonzo beans. Yummy good.!
We have appts. this afternoon, so thinking simple again tonight Panko, parm. baked Jumbo shrimp, maybe some Purple sweet potatoes and an undetermined vegetable.
Have a super afternoon everyone, it is cold here today and windy. It is a sweater day here in E. NC.
Cyn - I agree with everyone too. I have had several orthopedic problems over many years, and the first thing was to get an xray - every single time. I think it is reckless that they did not give you an initial xray. Sof tissue issues may not show up, but they ALWAYS did an xray to rule out what they could. Then we progressed to other things. Sorry you are having such a problem with all of this!
Dinner is .............to be announced!
