younglisa, I grow herbs - basil, dill, parsley, thyme. I just can't seem to get cilantro to grow for me. I haven't started the herbs yet, because of our crazy weather. In fact, I think we only get 2 season in TN anymore, summer and winter. I couldn't wait to start my tomatoes though so I have them in pots that I can bring in if it gets too cold.

I usually have good luck with parsley, thyme, chives, sage.....I used to grow salad burnett which is an absolutely wonderful salad herb!!!!! Basil is great....if you can keep it from going to seed....same with cilantro. tomorrow I plan to put out onion sets.

nms- So what did you think about tofu?

Lisa, I thought it was ok in this recipe. No separate flavor to it. I was worried about the texture, but it just kind of melted away in my mouth. The recipe itself was quite good. I would see these white chunks on my fork and expected to bite into a chickeny morsel, but it just kind of went away. At least I didn't hate it!

Now, tonight's turkey was another story. The really bad news is we got it at BJ's and there's another whole tenderloin like it in the freezer. Ick. Say, anybody want a hunk of turkey????

Made salad for dinner tonight - sliced grilled chicken breast on romaine lettuce with ranch dressing, tomato wedges, and avocado, plus sunflower seeds sprinkled over.

Hope you all are having a good weekend.

Have a major day of gardening ahead of me tomorrow.

Evening all, had a busy day playing ms. fixit. We rescreened 4 screens with hopefully puppy proof screening then we built a desk for my new computer, plus I am still doing laundry as we speak. Ugh. I am now sitting with my feet propped up waiting for a beer. LOl

Dinner tonight was nachos with fresh guacomole and pico de gallo. YUMMY! The boys had leftover sausage stew out of the freezer. Easy peasy dinner tonight.

Hope everyone has a great Sat. night.

OK, must tell y'all.........I am sitting here checking all my messages, when DH puts on one of his old 33 records (OLDDDDD country - not my cup of tea, but hey, whatcha gonna do) anyhow, grabs me by one hand and pulls me up out of the chair, and we "cut us a rug"! LOL We did a combination/variation of the waltz, the bump, the disco thing, and probably some stuff I don't think has a name yet! LOL I am so glad no one could see us, but it was fun! (This is no mean feat considering my back - bourbon does have it's uses!
