Can't make my chicken soup tonight ... I didn't have as much leftover chicken as I thought, and I used it all up last night. I have some frozen stew beef in the freezer, and two bags of stew veggies. I'm going to throw it all in the crock pot with some water, beef bouillon, and herbs and see what happens.

I'm also making some crock pot cocoa, but I have two crock pots.

Homemade split pea soup with diced ham and sweet potatoes in it, simmering on the stove right now, filling the kitchen with aroma. Something nice and comforting on a snowy day. Tomorrow, sloppy joes made with ground venison.

Thumbs up Delicious Salmon Pie!

Here's the ingredients, and recipe:

1 can salmon
1 onion minced
4 oz. cream cheese
1/2 to 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
3/4 cup Bisquick (or 1 cup)
1/2 cup milk
dash of pepper.

Grease bottom of pie pan with butter. Drain and debone salmon. Flake salmon into bottom of pan. Next, put minced onion over salmon. Follow with cream cheese (cut cream cheese into small slices & place over onion layer)-cover cream cheese layer with grated cheddar cheese.

In small mixing bowl, mix Bisquick, pepper, and milk. Cook at 375 for 3o minutes or until golden brown on top.

Be prepared to LOVE this, and receive compliments out the wazoo!!

I feel like chicken tonight, chicken tonight. Now that song will be stuck in my head. Don't know how I am fixing the chicken yet but I'll figure it out.

How did they taste? I have always wanted to try them, but the ones at BJ's were not good.
