I am not from FLorida...but have recently bought a vacation condo in Hallendale Beach. When driving down the A1A towards Miami, I pass through Sunny Isles and just amazing, beautiful, grandiose houses!

I am reading alot on the message boards, that Florida is full of thugs, people are poor, there are no jobs etx... So who owns these gorgeous mansions on the beach and how can I get one too!

There are plenty of rich people... for some the Sunny Isles are their vacation homes.

In Hallandale Beach, you will find many wealthy Russians. How did they get wealthy? Don't ask...you don't want to know.

In years past, Sunny Isles was home to many "drug transport entreprenuers" and most recently the Ben Novack murder case (he was the heir to the Fountainbleu Hotel and his wife had him killed while in NY) so there is plenty of "thug life" even in the wealthy areas!

The houses on the beach that you're referring to are in Golden Beach, not Sunny Isles.

Yeah, they do. It's Hallandale Beach, then Golden Beach (which is a fully residential neighborhood - probably that area you're talking about which is full of luxury high-end houses), and then Sunny Isles Beach which begins just before that bridge that goes to Aventura on that area with lots of high-rise buildings. But there's houses in Sunny Isles too, in a little area just south of the entrances/exits of that bridge.

OK yes I was referring to Golden Beach...in any case, some of the most beautiful looking houses I have ever seen...I can only imagine the inside!
