You have to look at this video...They said the hogs came in like a stampede

Feral hogs are on a rampage in a Fort Worth neighborhood, leaving a path of destruction behind.
Merely one day after landscapers fixed Jeanie Turek's yard, feral hogs hit it again.
"I had to call him again today and say, 'Can you come back? We've been hit again,'" she said.
The feral hogs didn't stop at Turek's yard; they also damaged neighboring yards in their overnight rampage.

Shouldn't this thread be in the Fort Worth or Texas forum?

Yes it should be I thought that is where I put it. I am sure a mod will move it.

For me, this is not surprising. Guess I am somewhat used to them....my parents have them on their property...there will be 20 at a time. They are a nuisance because they tear up the hay, eat feed, root in the flowerbeds...anything and everything they can get in, they will. Too bad the residents can't shoot them because we sure do.

what is awful is that the city animal services won't do anything to help yet the city won't allow homeowners to actually kill the pigs

feral hogs are more than a nuisance--they are a real danger
and I bet the people with the damage can't file claim on their homeowners insurance -- at least more than once--

that neighborhood is close to the Trinity River bottom--so there is plenty of room for those hogs to run off into brushy areas and escape
maybe the city should license a pig hunt for charity--sell tickets and get some pig hunters who use bows to come pig-sticking

I wonder if the wild hogs are moving east because of the fires in west Texas.

Wild hogs are mean critters. My BIL hunts them with bow and arrow on their property in Cross Plains.

no--I think they are coming out of the river bottom--
IF they had come from west side of FTW looks like other areas would have been complaining about their damage before this area

one of the guys on the video said that they might be in area and leave--be pushed out--but come back in 2 or 3 yrs
I think there is likely some construction going on in that area that has moved them from their normal haunts--
maybe some of the last rains caused some flooding that moved them to higher grounds
