Is the Fort Worth Horseshoe Club boarding stable still open? I used to keep my horse there--was run by a Mr. Blackmon, I think. They had shows out there, etc.

Just wondering if it was still around/open?

Guess I'm just talking to myself here...

So The Fort Worth Horseshoe Club was over on West Vickery. The place had been open for a long time and I was curious if it's still there?! They held club shows there every week. The guy that ran it had palomino Quarter Horses. Mary's Creek ran through the property and you could ride all over the 100 acres or so of land that was there.
They had a super nice arena and a good barn. My horse was very hard to catch and she would always station herself at the very back corner of the 100 acres. Then, when I got just close enough to touch her---she'd RUN all the way back to the barn!!

I was out there approximately 2 years ago and it was still there then. You can probably find a phone number for it via the White Pages and find out. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Default The Fort Worth Horseshoe Club

Yes, it's still there and still in operation. It's still very nice and beautiful and well-maintained. Just thought I'd let you know!

Does anyone know how many acres they have? I am thinking about taking my horses there. I show and like to trail ride.
