1. Old shirts or other bits of old clothing that tear or stain (hence un-donateable) I use as car washing rags or as cleaning rags within the home.

2. I have 5 roommates. Living in Chicago rent+bills are $600 each. In one of the nicest areas. I can afford to live alone, but it actually is a win-win IMO.

3. Bought an HDTV on Craigslist. It was a 42" LCD for $400 2 years ago. It was a great deal, but I had to go into the Ghetto for it. Entered the home to pick it up and two guys were smoking pot around their (8 year old) kid. I came home and noticed that the Serial Number was scratched off. Woops, I think I bought a stolen good.

I have all monthly utilities & groceries charged to my cash back credit card. Pay all monthly bills with one check, one envelope and one stamp. Last year I got $200 cash back.

Because I used to do hair, I apply my color with a bowl and brush, so I was happy to see it appeared to be thicker; that should work fine for me. Even with the ability to buy my haircolor wholesale, spending $2 is still a great deal If it works I'll buy a few more boxes.
It is soooo thick... you cannot use the tip applicator. You have to take the top off and STILL it is hard to get out. I finally just slapped it on my hand, mixed it better and applied.

After using this a few times, I am missing just one bottle application. Not a biggie deal because Walmart has Clairol for $3, so for a dollar more, I get less problem.

One thing to note: The color is gorgeous on the dollar tree hair color!

50 mpg since 1976 in my $35 car... no Dinosaurs or OPEC required
AWESOME!
Though my regular grocery store has the rot. chicken for the same price.

One time I needed to move my car a few feet (to get it out of the way), and I thought, "Geez...waste of gas and hard on the battery to move it a few feet," so I put it in neutral and pushed it.

Ok. That may have happened more than one time.

LOL.

Good to know about the thickness. It should work fine for the way I apply.

I plan to do it this week

I don't know if anybody's mentioned this, but if you buy a jar of pickles and just have the juice left, you can use it to get the last bit of salad dressing out of the container. Just pour a little bit in, shake the bottle a little, and pour it on your food. I mean, most salad dressings contain vinegar anyway, so it works out fine.

1. Donated plasma. Weird experience. I made good money, though!

2. Got a roommate. Maybe not so weird, but my condo is tiny, so it's a bit tight for two people. Good thing I really like my roommate, and she also pays over half of my mortgage!

3. (I do this one a lot) Bought a rotisserie chicken at Costco for $5. Those suckers can last like 5 meals easily. Oh, and the membership at Costco, I split with a friend, since you get two cards anyway. $25/year for membership. Not bad!

4. Paid a friend $20 to stand in line to buy a TV on Black Friday for me. It was 42" for $200. Easily could have spent $700 on that TV normally.

Default Dollar Tree Haircolor

I used it the other day and it worked great!

Yes, it is VERY thick. I can't imagine trying to apply with a bottle. I used a bowl and brush (my usual method) and I added a little more of my own developer because I felt like the consistency wasn't quite right. But, being thick like that was nice...a lot less mess in the bathroom. No dripping! (this is a big deal since I use black haircolor) The color looks really good, too!

One box was JUST enough to do my outgrowth, though. If I was going to do the rest of my hair I;d need at least 2 more boxes.

I plan to use it again!

You did say "ridiculous" so I believe that this qualifies.

To maximize fuel efficiency in my daily driver I performed the usual maintenance, kept the tires inflated to spec, and travelled light - no junk in the trunk. When the A/C quit I decided to eliminate the unnecessary weight and removed it. Too late, I realized the A/C unit was supporting my alternator, and now the alt belt flopped around and fell off without the proper tension.

My "temporary" solution - which lasted for the life of the vehicle - was to insert a 2X4 between the block and the alternator, which provided the necessary tension on the belt. Vibrations loosened the block of wood, so I frequently had to stop, open the hood, and pound the wood down with a mallet. I can't imagine what people thought I was doing to my car, but it always gave my passengers a good laugh.
