My Heritage is the best for features, they give ethnicity, family matches, family tree, surnames when available, and chromosome browser; having said that; they give it free to anyone uploading their raw data from other sites. I suggest Ancestry when they're having a sale. You can't beat their family trees as My Heritage only allows 200 for free accounts. I was part of their Europe East test panel. They wanted me because my parents came to the US from Hungary in the late 50's. Both sides have been in Hungary for generations.

See my thread //www.city-data.com/forum/genea...l#post49250127 to learn how to upload free to My Heritage, GEDmatch and GEDmatch Genesis for free ethnicity and family matching and FTDNA for free family matching. For under $20 (US) you can get chromosome browser and other things. I have not done it yet but plan to for at least mine. I run 6 profiles.

I would have to check but I believe the ethnicity between Ancestry and My Heritage was similar for all the tests I manage. I compared them a few months ago, actually started typing the reply out but never got to post it. Of course I'd have to check to see if still accurate before doing it. lol
