Each person can have something like 10-20 million 9th cousins...
It can be useful for genealogy research, either confirming branches or even breaking down brick walls. I keep a spreadsheet of all the matches I have been able to identify an MRCA with - many of them are 5th+ cousins, though many of them are also from endogamous branches: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...c7sUOa/pubhtml
