WTG pretending to work

Yesterday my BFF and I drove out and brought back my aunt who passed away's car, to be used here and transported to the new place. It will replace my 26 year old summer ride which DH refuses to ride in (no a/c, poor heat, unreliable).

The newer car is only 12 years old with 55K miles on it and is immaculate.

Now we have o figure out how to get it from BFF's house to mine

Congrats on all of you who sold your houses.

We are waiting until we are out of here & in the new house before putting this one on the market. But, last week, my husband called the church that is next door & offered it to them at (I think) 8% off of our listing price. We figured we would have to pay that amount to the realtor anyway. They called back and seem interested. Keep your fingers crossed.

Nice move by your DH, Cat very savvy.

Yep, totally agree on wanting to be out of here before selling, we have way too much stuff and cats so it would be a hassle.

I am all moved in, still have a little bit of unpacking to do but mostly it's all done. Been here a week now and am so thankful it's over. Still dreaming every night that I'm still in the process of moving blah

Actually, he got the idea from my sister. She too is moving-bought a house that needs renos and once that is done, they will be moving in. She already has a buyer for her old house-her next door neighbor. I told Hubby this but I didn't realize that he was going to try the same thing. He told me he called the church AFTER he called. THEN he asked me if it was ok. Even though it was kind of late at that point, I agree it was a good move on his part. And if they do buy it-even better. The irony of it is the fact we have had many issues with the church-but that is another LONG story.

Feeling overwhelmed.

If all goes well I have 5 weeks to figure out what storage company to use and how much stuff will fit in a container.

I'm hoping one of the 16 x 8 x 8 will do but I'm really not sure.

It would be really great if my older brother would take some of the family pieces off my hands. I inherited a lot of furniture just because I was close to my dad when he moved away. I could easily cull 1.5 rooms of stuff if he would just take it, including 3 wing back chairs, 1 love seat, 1 large dresser, 1 large blanket chest, 3 big mirrors and a table. I would be happy getting rid of all of it. Then I would know that the container will work.

*phew*

Way to go, ALL!

Wife walked through the house today and said "I HAVE HAD IT". Home goes on the market along with the garage sale on Friday. Going to put out flyers and a FSBO sign as opposed to my company sign.

Here's hoping we can get a solid offer. Time to pack it in.
