A little bit each day. And now I have one tote of paper to shred. I don't like to just throw out old bills.
Look to see if local law enforcement offers free shredding. Ours does an afternoon every few months.

Well, I have been off a few days, doing the garage sale thing. It is over, got rid of a LOT of stuff, made some bucks. Now planning for Garage Sale II-The Sequel-Attack of the Storage Buildings.

Next week, taking the first load down.

Wow, y'all, so happy we are all getting closer to goal without losing it. Hugs all around.

Please consider keeping on this thread and posting about the post moving escapades.

Mom is (I think) finally on board with renting the house for a year to satisfy the 1031 exchange and then us coming down in fall 2015.

Today I'm going to take photos of some old glass my grandfather left me. I've enjoyed it for the last nine years but it's not dear enough to move it.

Happy Mother's Day, bring on the mimosas and bloody maries!!!!!!!!!!

Good idea and thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately that service isn't offered here.... It really isn't bad shredding. I only have a little bit left and the in beginning I Had 3 shredders running. I could shred a tall kitchen trash can's worth in less time than I would be able to drive back and forth. Now I am down to my last shredder - which really is the best one anyways. A micro cross-cut shredder. As long as it lasts a little bit longer. (Knocks on wood and crosses fingers....) I am more careful with what I put in it and don't even try to put the max number of sheets of paper in at a time. That blew the motor in one and dulled the cutters in the other, in the other shredders.

And a lot of times I sort and shred at the same time.

To sharpen your cutters, run some tin foil through it.

This also works with scissors.

Didn't know that about foil... Awesome.

The glue and construction paper in/on the kids school projects are on taking their toll on them... There are only so many toddler projects we can keep. (and most of those are the ones that their drawings were put onto mugs and other collectibles). We literally would get a full car load of projects back at the end of the year... Probably have 10 totes of the stuff. (And to think I only have a 13 and a 10 year old)

We don't like throwing things out with even our kids names on it... And the drawings show things they like, so best to shred them. It gives a stranger an "in" with kids. Social media is bad enough - we restrict that - as does their school. And even then, it isn't too hard to figure things out.

Moving used to allow you to go back to anonymity, but with the internet, that is really gone too.

Last full day in this house. A little sad but VERY little. More excited. Movers just got here to do more packing.

Then last night part of tooth that I had bonded in January? February? fell out. I now have a gaping hole in my tooth. Couldn't have picked the worse time. I won't be able to get to the dentist until at least Wednesday (if they could fit me in). At least it doesn't hurt-only a bit of a twinge when I drink cold or hot stuff. Didn't even bother me when I brushed my teeth.

Just got back from the bank and transferred the money over for the new place. It closes tomorrow and we will be moving in a month after my son gets out of school. So far all is good.
