I'm not passionate about Basketball anyway, but I was just too embarresed to root for the NJ Nets anymore after their incredible losing streak... I definitely wasn't going to switch over to the Knicks either
76ers was just the alternative

I live in Portland but grew up in California and Canada.

MLB-SF Giants
NFL-Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA-Portland Trailblazers
NHL-San Joes Sharks---and the Edmonton Oilers if they ever have a decent team. Also I'll support any Canadian team in the playoffs as long as they aren't playing the Sharks;
