It is over 60% Hispanic. I am living in San Antonio now, and I can this city is more around 80% Hispanic after you add in half-Hispanic and the such. The atmosphere and feeling here is undeniably Hispanic, and were proud of that.

Locally- Blue Island, Aurora, or Cicero comes to mind haha

Seriously, LA(and most of California)

The Hispanic population is signficant in most regions, that a single city doesn't come to mind anymore. There are parts of Chicago and the suburb/exurbs that are very Mexican. In fact, Hispanics are the largest minority group in Chicago metro at 20%(1.9 million according to American survey). It really breaks down to nationality. When I hear Cuban, I think of Miami. 69% of Cubans in the US live in Florida, so there is a lot of truth to that generalization.

For some reason? I wonder what that reason is because I don't think I've ever heard anyone associate San Antonio with Hispanics before.

Well the name is Spanish and it is majority Hispanic. It seems to be about the largest city in the US with a Hispanic majority. Its current mayor, Julian Castro, is Hispanic. Mexican-American Henry Cisneros was their mayor in the 1980s. Although it might not fit as well as some cities.
