Are you kidding? Maybe in the 60's when all the racial unrest was going on. The south is under such scrutiny for racism that it has gone overboard on trying to undo the legacy.

Really! Try to get some personal experience from areas before you proclaim something.

Is this what you had in mind?

Please google "satire."

definition of satire: The use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues

funny, "to expose people's stupidity," and then you go and type up the stupidest comment in the thread. whether you meant a state passing those laws exactly or not isn't the point, you used your little "satire" as your political jab at the south, especially when we could talk about your little liberal bastion of california's stupidER laws.

Actually, with regard to your second paragraph, here's my quote (again):

I never referenced any state from the south. If you feel the shoe fits, that's on you.

Well-done, however, on your initial paragraph - I think you found an excellent definition of "satire." Now: 1. Re-read my post. 2. Then re-read the definition. 3. Then re-read my post.

I'm sure you can get it. If not, enlist the help of a friend. I have no more energy to help you.

Connecticut. It is like the Hotel California. If you go there and buy a house, you will never be able to leave once your company decides to offshore operations to Mexico or wherever.

You won't be able to sell your house without bringing a bunch of money to make up for the difference between what you borrowed and the selling price.

The taxes and fees will have beggared you - the raise or lateral you thought you were taking became a salary cut without your knowledge.

You will have gone native, osmosing the CT cultural values. The worst of them are the airs of entitlement ("It's different here!" or "We're better here") and the attitude of litigiousness ("I'll sue!") - permanent impediments to ever getting a job in another environment.

Getting sucked into CT, and not being able to leave until your assets are bled dry and you pack the remaining possessions into the trunk of your car - this is the stuff of nightmares.

Not "scared" of any state... Have always hated bad roads/drivers and traffic... So Im not dying to go up north.

I have walked around Memphis from 3-5am carrying 3 things of luggage by myself looking for a greyhound station. I'd like to think i could make it
In any city.. But who knows

Bad drivers, traffic, and bad roads are everywhere. And some of the worst in all three categories are in the south.
