There is a little enclave of Madison Parish, Louisiana, separated from the rest of this parish by another enclave, one of Warren County, Mississippi. The Mississippi River surely has changed its' course!

I've been fishing out of Venice; while it is certainly a unique place, I don't know how it qualifies as an oddity.

There is no place name found in all 50 states. And the most common place name in the US isn't Washington, or even Springfield. It's Centerville, and it occurs in 45 states.
