I live in Phoenix and the only movie I recall being filmed here is Waiting to Exhale. Not my favorite by a long shot but just wanted to put that out there.

There was a Charlie Sheen movie filmed in Phoenix in 1993 called "Beyond the Law" that I like. Another movie filmed in Phoenix that I like is a movie from 1987 called "Campus Man". Part of that movie was filmed in Tempe on the ASU campus and next to Sun Devil Stadium.

I live in Seattle and my favorite movie filmed here would probably have to be a movie from 1993 called "The Vanishing" starring Jeff Bridges, Kiefer Sutherland, and Sandra Bullock.

My favorite movie filmed here in the state of Washington would have to be a movie from 1985 called "Vision Quest" that was filmed in Spokane. Madonna actually had a brief singing part in this movie.

I think A River Runs Through It is probably the best film I know of that was mostly filmed in Montana.

1. Woody Allen's "Sleeper", filmed in and around Denver. Included the "Space Ship house" up on Genesee and the round church in Lakewood that was a McDonald's in the film.

2. "Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead".

I'm actually surprised how many good films were made in my state, now that I'm looking it up.

-Being There (1979), which had many scenes filmed in the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

I live in California, so too many to mention obviously.

But for some reason, off the top of my head, a small indie movie called "Brick" comes to mind. Was shot in the neo-noir style in San Clemente, which is basically a model of SoCal suburbs (and all the good and bad that entails).
