Within the state of Kansas is the Arkansas river. And they do pronounce it "Ar-Kanzuz" in Kansas. It runs down from Wichita, through Tulsa and then into Arkansas. I'm pretty sure by they pronounce it "Ar-kan-saw river" in Arkansas.
