El Pollo Loco (Mexican-style grilled chicken), West Coast
El Pollo Loco is also in the South. Almost tried it when I was in Houston last month but the rest of the group I was with wanted to eat dim sum. I heard a few are opening soon here in DFW, too, though not certain.
Good Times Burgers...they are based in the Denver area.
I guess Anthony's Pizza may count since there are ( as far as I know anyway ) at least two chains sporting that name even though they aren't related to each other at all. One is in the Denver area and the other in the Winchester, Virginia region. Apparently the latter has expanded into Maryland recently by opening a store in the Hagerstown area.
Fred Meyer...department stores in the PNW (there is also a jewelry store that I believe is more national)...
Meijer...department stores in the Midwest...
Runza...fast food place in Nebraska and a couple of locations in Colorado, Kansas, and Iowa...
White Castle...fast food in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states...
The Habit Burger Grill is only in 10 states, but largely in CA. Consumer Reports ranked its hamburger as the best chain burger in the U.S. I never eat the hamburgers, because it's the only larger chain of which I'm aware that serves a decent Tri Tip sandwich, a CA delicacy IMO.
Bob Evans is an Ohio-based chain with restaurants in 19 states. It features great sausage and is the only casual chain of which I'm aware that offers fried mush, appropriate for a chain focusing on "down home cooking." Its sausage gravy on biscuits is top-notch.

The Village...these are a chain of high quality gyms that are only found in Phoenix Metro.
