Define “warmer weather”. Austin in August with 100F? 95F and humid in the Deep South? I can’t dress for that. I have plenty of technical outdoor clothing. I ski. I welcome winter.
On the flip side, shorts, Hawaiian shirt, and sunglasses on the boat in August doesn’t suck. However, where I live in coastal New England, it rarely gets to 90F.
Definitely yes. I prefer Louisiana summers over Maryland or West Virginia winters. After moving home to Louisiana I'll find it very hard to live outside the Deep South again.
There are many places that are great to visit like Colorado, Montana, Lake Tahoe, etc but I could never live in those places year round. It got down to 37 degrees one night in Lake Tahoe when I was there this past August.
A nasty brutal sun angle combined with heat and humidity is the worst. I also hate hot and dry weather. Cool and cold weather is my preferred default liking as long as the wind speed is lower.
I moved from Connecticut to Arizona in May. I’m much happier with warm, sunny weather. Ideal to me is sunny, dry, and around 80F, but I’d rather be too warm than too cold. Shorts and tanks or tees for me!
